Your simple form website
MCFP Starter gives your own WordPress website a simple look: your logo, your font, your color, and links to your existing legal texts. The form plugin handles the forms.
What you need before starting
- Your own WordPress website with administrator access. The theme does not include hosting and does not install WordPress.
- An active MCFP license for download and the installed, activated MCFP plugin.
- Optional: your logo as PNG, JPG, or WebP and the full links to imprint and privacy policy.
For an existing company website, you can keep your current theme and use MCFP via link or shortcode. Activate Starter on a separate form website or test the switch first in a test copy: Changing the theme alters the website’s appearance.
The images show a real isolated WordPress test installation with fictitious sample data. Click an image to enlarge it. Labels such as "Add" or "Install" may vary slightly depending on the WordPress version.
1. Download the theme ZIP
- Log in to your MCFP customer area .
- Click in the setup area Download MCFP Starter as theme ZIP. The file is named for example
mcfp-starter-1.0.2.zip. - Save the file as ZIP. Do not unpack. This is the theme ZIP; the plugin ZIP is installed separately under “Plugins”.
If you are not logged in yet, you will be prompted to log in first. Without an active license, the download remains locked.
2. Install and activate in WordPress
- Open the backend of your WordPress website, usually at
your-domain.de/wp-admin. - Go to Design → Themes → Add Theme → Upload Theme.
- Select the downloaded theme ZIP and click Install now.
- After successful installation, click Enable. Now MCFP Starter appears as the active theme.
Missing “Design”? Log in with an administrator account. Does “Stylesheet missing” appear? Check if you really have the file mcfp-starter-…zip you have selected.
3. Set logo, font, and color
- Open Design → Customizer or click on the active theme on Customize.
- Open Website Information, select your logo and check the website title. Without a logo, the website title appears.
- Go back and open MCFP – Appearance & Links. Choose an accent color and one of the four font variants. The fonts are displayed locally; no external font providers are loaded.
- Check the preview and click above on Publish. Only then visitors see your changes.
4. Link Existing Legal Texts
- Stay in area MCFP – Appearance & Links.
- Add under Imprint – full URL and Data protection – full URL your real links including
https://. - Click Publish. Empty fields show no link.
- Open your website and test both links in the footer. Each opens a new tab.
The theme links your existing texts. It does not create legal notice or privacy policy.
5. Access or Embed Your Form
- Open Forms → Templates. Copy a system template if needed via Copy as own template and adjust them.
- For a direct form call, copy the Form link. When opened, Starter shows the form flow with your branding.
- For a normal WordPress site, open under the link Embed on page (shortcode) and copy the displayed code.
- Create under Pages → Create a page, add a Shortcode block and insert the code. Save or publish the page.
- If you want this page to be your homepage, select it under Settings → Reading → A static page → Homepage turn off and save.
6. Complete Self-Testing Once
Also open the page on your smartphone. Start a process with fictitious data, complete all steps, and submit it. Check the received process, the PDF, and the email delivery. The theme installation does not replace the recipient and form settings in the plugin.
You can open again anytime for further changes Design → Customizer. When updating a theme, your saved logo, color, font, and link settings are retained. You should avoid changes directly to theme files.
